Opportunity Green Start-up: Cardborigami

Editor’s Note: The following is part of SCGH’s Green Entrepreneur series this week featuring video interviews with people talking about their innovations and projects.

LOS ANGELES — Cardborigami is dedicated to eradicating homelessness through cardboard shelters that can be folded and carried when not in use. Surprisingly hardy, the shelters are waterproof, flame retardant, and resistant to the elements. Check out the demonstration Cardborigami gave at Opportunity Green 2011 as part of the start-up competition.

Opportunity Green’s start-up competition gave center stage to new companies making headway on all sorts of green issues. From transforming heat emissions into electricity, to making a greener lifestyle into a mobile game, to optimizing printing, these eco-entrepreneurs have creative solutions that are both practical and revolutionary.
